About Us

Hello!

I’m a mum to a child living with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), and like many families, diabetes became part of our everyday life literally overnight. The routines, the insane learning curve, the constant vigilance. It’s not something you clock off from, but it is something you learn to carry.

The Sweet Type Co was created from lived experience. From a need to channel some of the difficult and challenging parts of life living with T1D into something fun and light. 

What I couldn’t find were pieces that felt considered and specific to my journey. Items that quietly acknowledged life with diabetes without shouting about it. So The Sweet Type Co was born.
